TAP Card

There’s Never Been A Better Time To Tap

Use TAP for safe, easy fare payments.

By now, you probably know that you can TAP your way onto any of our Foothill Transit buses. What you might NOT know is that your TAP card lets you pay less money than if you pay with cash.

That’s right, using your TAP card lets you pay a special discounted fare. There’s really never been a better time to tap.

Plus, you can use your TAP card on 24 different transit systems across LA County. It’s safe and easy to load and use. Load cash or passes online (taptogo.net) or by phone (866.TAPTOGO). When you board the bus, you give a quick tap on the fare box with your card, and you’re on your way to your seat with no delays. If you couldn’t already tell, we’re encouraging all our riders to adopt the TAP card.

So, for those of you who are still skeptical, we thought we’d anticipate some of the concerns that may be holding you back.

“I Prefer To Pay With Cash”

Hey, we hear you. Cash is king. But you can still load your TAP card using cash on the bus, at our transit stores or at any of our participating vendors. Switching to TAP doesn’t mean you can’t keep paying with paper.

“What If I Lose My TAP Card?”

Another valid concern. Losing a TAP card with a ton of stored value is scary stuff. That’s why you can register your TAP card online so that in the unfortunate event of loss or theft, TAP can disable your old card and preserve your balance on your new one.

“I’m Afraid Of Technology”

When robots become sentient and take over the entire human race, we will be too. But until then, using TAP cards streamlines the whole boarding process. It helps buses leave on schedule, which in turn prevents delays, and that keeps everyone happy and moving.

That’s it folks, your own personal FAQ-slash-pitch to switch to the TAP card. If it worked, visit taptogo.net to learn more and get your TAP card today!
